"The City"
Yesterday we decided to venture into New York City for the first time. We drove in and we really didn't have a plan, which was Brandon's idea, I really wanted to have a plan, but that is another story for another time. It was so cold that we didn't want to get out of the car so we decided just to drive around and see everything from the warmth of the car. First we found the Empire State Building, and the Chrysler Building and then we drove over to Battery Park where the Statue of Liberty is. We could see it but we were really too far to get a good picture, and there was no way you were going to get me on a ferry with the freezing cold wind!! When we left there Brayden had to find a potty, immediately! In New York people don't just let you use their bathrooms so we had to find a place to eat or something and fast! So we found a parking place about 1/2 mile from a Wendy's and we started to walk. Brayden cried the whole time because his fingers hurt from the cold, mind you he had gloves on, (thank you Grandma, they love them by the way!) When we finally got there, after I had gotten lost, the Wendy's was closed! Anyways, to make a long story short we found somewhere else really fast ate and then braved the cold weather back to our car. After that we decided to drive past Central Park and just go home, we were all tired. So we drove down Madison Ave, I almost jumped out at one stop light so I could buy a knock of designer purse on a corner, that will have to wait though because it was way too cold. We saw a piece of Central Park, and then went home. It was a fun little adventure.
We are going to the parade on Thursday so hopefully I can get some better pictures of the city then:)

That sounds like so much fun to just venture out and go see everything.
